Celebrating Multicultural Children’s Book Day!

Social Nudge is celebrating diversity in literature. Follow along and be sure to share all of the wonderful publishing companies, authors and illustrators who work very hard to provide your family with books that reflect our world.

OurMission: The MCCBD team’s mission to spread the word and raise awareness about the importance of diversity in children’s literature. Our young readers need to see themselves within the pages of a book and experience other cultures, languages, traditions and religions within the pages of a book. We encourage readers, parents, teachers, caregivers and librarians to follow along the fun book reviews, author visits, event details, a multicultural children’s book linky and via our hashtag (#ReadYourWorld) on Twitter and other social media.

The co-creators of this unique event are Mia Wenjen from Pragmatic Mom and Valarie Budayr from Jump Into a Book/Audrey Press. You can find a bio for Mia and Valarie here.

Social Nudge Necessities

Most small business owners don’t know a thing about social media. For them, it’s overwhelming and times consuming. This is one reason why I started Social Nudge. I just want to help small businesses become social even if it’s just the basics. I consider the basics, for a minimal online presence, to be Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and a blog or website.

As a result, your network will grow slow and steady. You will have an excellent support group to share your products and successes with. In turn, your family and friends will share with their family and friends and so on.
I like Pinterest because it provides visual sharing that is short, sweet and to the point. At a glance, potential clients can take a look at your product and if they are interested in learning more they can view your website and learn even mo…

Social Sharing For Authors

Hello and welcome to Social Nudge!
I’m Kristi Bernard of Kristi’s Book Nook and The Neophyte Writer. I started Social Nudge so that I could continue promoting and sharing news about books for children and the importance of literacy. Since I started blogging, the need for a separate platform has presented itself. Basically, my client list for promotions has grown from just authors to publishing companies, illustrators, artists and local small business owners. My need to share more interviews, videos and giveaways has grown too. I want to be able to specifically focus on one individual or business and highlight them here.
Social sharing is very important. I want my family, friends and followers to find you and connect with you. I offer services from promotions which could include highlighting your books to creating simple book trailers. My services are affordable and effective. If you are just looking for a basic book review, which is always free, I still provide that service at Krist…
